There are some songs that aren’t meant for just anyone to sing. You must have a certain kind of talent to execute the job. Today, musicians tend to rely on the music to carry them through. But not Dalomonze. He sings with such a certainty and passion and his voice is the instrument. Over a soft piano and gentle beat, Dalomonze belts out his frustrations with the woman he loves. Acknowledging his ignorance to his mother’s warnings about losing yourself when falling in love. “Momma, I’m sorry, look what her love has done to me.” You can’t help but remember a time love blinded you personally and wish there was a song as relatable as this during that time.

The track starts out with a slow ballet that builds as the song progresses. It’s almost as if he is preparing you for a life lesson. Similar to movies that promote a better ending. But this ending is left with a question. We all have picked that flower to determine our loves fate. The image left is one petal. Does she love him or does she not?
