When I discovered my true love for music and writing, I registered for school to pursue a career in journalism. It was there that I took one of my first music classes. The History of Rock N Roll. I learned so much in those short few months. I even kept the text book that I refer back to every once in a while. But it was in that class that I learned of Fleetwood Mac and more importantly, Stevie Nicks. I was 25. I learned how Nicks was not always a part of the band originally and that she would come on later. Creating a dynamic the band needed. Her unique voice instantly captivated my ears and I went beyond class to learn more about the band and Stevie Nicks.  I learned of the bands many different faces and changes it made over the years. Relationships grown sour and the difficulties of the music industry. Stevie, went on to pursue a solo career and very successful one at that. Dreams is one of my all-time favorite songs, it would be months later, driving down Richmond road that I would hear the song for the first time. How hard I fell in love with it was like no other.

Just recently I purchased the vinyl for one of their most iconic albums, Rumors. If you have not had the chance to hear this album, it is a must. Sonically, it is relaxing, inspiring and emotional. Lyrically, it is motivating in many ways.

Below is a story of a young women name Dr. Raven Baxter who discovered Fleetwood Mac sitting a bar after a long day of work. To her surprise, it was one of the best pieces of art she had ever heard and she even made a stir on X (formally known as Twitter) when she took the social media platform to tell the world of her new discovery. Just like those before her, Fleetwood Mac moved her.
