MC Tae takes cool pictures. It is one of the reasons I was intrigued to hear his music and right away Save It, proves exactly why intro’s still matter. It fascinates us, the listener, to indulge more. Over an up-tempo, head bobbing hip hop beat, Tae’s delivery is one to be taken serious. He has an aggressive yet playful tone that makes the track feels as if he is excited to tell his story. “My d*ck is hard.” Had to run it back a few times.

He quickly smooths it out with Welcome Home displaying his is range of musicality. But the dopiest part is the feature from Ray Cash called Get Up. A Cleveland legend who had great commercial success in the early 2000’s. The fun elevator music and catchy chorus revved us up for a wonderful verse from the legend, complimenting Tae’s verses. MC Tae closes the album with Until Next Time. In a lackadaisical tone, he freely expresses his strong desire to be the MC he knows he was born to be while drawing the audience in with a soothing female vocals in the background. We do feel you.
Local Audio, not only is an excellent title, but the entire project entices thought provoking ideas. Ideas that lightly touch the surface but are relatable. I tell he can go deeper. It is the perfect length to commute to work and the beat selection and content makes that ride a little easier. We all strive to be someone great and greatness may look different for everyone but this is MC Tae’s truth and story.
