TICKETS TO MY DOWNFALL

PUNK ROCK

How many of you have missed genuine Punk Rock?  At least the sound we remember as teen. When you think of Punk Rock, Travis Barker is probably the first to come to mind. But when Punk Rock is mixed with a little taste of Rap, you get Tickets to My Downfall. From the first single, Why Are You Here, Machine Gun Kelly prepared his fans for something most of us have been waiting for. A Punk Rock Album! And what better way to give the fans what they want then by having Blink-182’s drummer, Travis Barker as the executive producer.  I know late twenty to early thirty-year-old heard this as a dream come true.

Not only are the singles amazing but the songs in between are great as well. Usually, when someone falls in love, their music gets too mushy and boring. But MGK, found love and committed to an album that will give him praise for years to come. The Song “banyan tree (interlude),” is so pretty, it could light up a cold heart.

MGK even has the early 2000’s Punk Rock Southern California voice. “I’m still young wasting my young, I’ll grow up next summer.” One downfall of the album was too much use of the voice, some songs started to blend. But the features on the album complement each song beautifully without over doing it. Halsey, and Blackbear fit in like a puzzle.

This album is what will push MKG to the next level! The deluxe, "Sold Out" is out now! Cannot wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.
