K Dot is still popin’ out and showing. Sunday, September 8, Kendrick Lamar and PgLAng announced he will be headlining the 2025 NFL Super Bowl. This is not Lamar’s first appearance on the big stage. If you recall, the 2022 West Coast tribute for Super Bowl LVI, Kendrick Lamar stood proudly with the legends as he chants “Alright,” on one of the world biggest platforms. In just over 2 minutes, Lamar exhibits his brilliance for performance and bravery for black empowerment. Now, imagine what he can do as the headliner. Will Kendrick continue to drag Drake with the Not Like Us chant? Or will he use the stage for a bigger purpose and continue his journey of enlightenment and understanding? Whatever the case, he has the whole world’s attention.
Some people are feeling Lil Wayne is deserving of the Super Bowl Halftime. But is he really? Most Super Bowl’s do not decide performers based location of the game. With the exception of 2022. Secondly, has Lil Wayne produced an archive of music that can stand with the level of the Super Bowl. The pass 5 to 8 years for Lil Wayne has not been outstanding. His music has lost its touch and personally, he just does not have it anymore. He rarely has anything important to say if ever. Although, Lil Wayne’s era was game changing and exciting, he does not have the longevity like someone like Kendrick Lamar. I would like say it would be dope for Dot to bring him out, but we all know that won’t happen.
But Kendrick is like the gift that keeps giving. He has raised the bar when it came to a rap beef, he makes thought provoking music, some may say boring, but he is a pioneer who will be remembered in similar ways to Tupac Shakur. And if he chooses to perform Not Like Us for the sixth time, it will truly put the nail in the coffin. Leaving no crumbs behind

This year is Kendrick’s year! Could there be an album on the way? What songs do you think he will perform? Do you think he will brings friends? Only can wait and see.
